WMU Giving Day is Wednesday, April 12 #WMUGivingDay
WMU Giving Day is an annual 24-hour event that celebrates the collective power of giving by the Bronco Nation. Giving is a vital part of helping WMU continue to fulfill its mission: “So that all may learn.” It’s an opportunity for every corner of campus to raise awareness around how gifts can make a difference and to spotlight their special projects and initiatives.
By coming together, Broncos far and wide can help provide the resources necessary to ensure that all students at WMU can pursue their purpose, succeed both inside and outside of the classroom, and thrive after they turn the tassel.

Boost the value of your degree.
Increasing the number of donors to the University, particularly alumni donors, helps raise our ranking in definitive publications such as U.S. News & World Report, thereby boosting the value of a degree from WMU.
Make a difference for current and future Broncos.
The landscape of higher education has shifted over the years, changing the obstacles students face to complete their degrees. Giving to WMU ensures that students can grasp every opportunity available to succeed in the classroom and beyond. All gifts, in any amount, make a difference in the lives of Broncos today and tomorrow; plus, they help WMU remain the place we all know and love while positioning the University for success in the years ahead.

Any area, initiative or cause that’s close to your heart.
There are some 2,000 different funds that touch every area of campus, from academic colleges and departments to specialized scholarships and student support programs to athletics and beyond. Donors get to designate 100% of their gift to the funds of their choice. More than 3/4 of all WMU students receive some sort of financial support from the University, and much of that support comes from donor-generated giving. All gifts, in some way, not only support student success and help Broncos graduate ready to get a job they’ll love, but also enhance programs and opportunities across our campuses.
-
No matter the amount, your gift will matter to a student and to WMU.
If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, you can double or sometimes triple the impact of your gift. Please check with your human resources office for matching gift information and forms.

Special Bronco challenges happen throughout the day to increase the impact you have on the causes you care about.
This year’s Giving Day Challenges will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
