Increasing the number of donors to the University, particularly alumni donors, helps to raise our ranking in definitive publications such as U.S. News & World Report, thereby increasing the value of a degree from WMU.
Additionally, the landscape of higher education has shifted over the years, changing the obstacles students face to complete their degrees. Giving to WMU ensures students can grasp every opportunity available to succeed in the classroom and beyond. All gifts, in any amount, make a difference in the lives of students and help to keep WMU the place we all know and love, while helping to position our University for success, whatever the future may hold.

Donors get to designate 100% of their gift to the funds of their choice. More than 3/4 of all WMU students receive some sort of financial support from the University, and much of that support comes from donor-generated giving. All gifts, in some way, support student success and help students graduate ready to get a job they will love while enhancing programs and opportunities all across our campuses
Gifts in any amount are welcome and will make an impact in the lives of students and on campus in general.
